Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov said that the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU is the only obstacle to the development of tourism and business. He said this on Tuesday, October 25, in Krakow during the discussion with European counterparts on visa regime abolition between Ukraine and the EU.
"I expressed my view that for tourism, for business the single, by and large, barrier is the visa regime, and the sooner we will solve this problem, the sooner these areas will develop," Borys Kolesnikov told reporters after the conference, ForUm learned from the press office of the Party of Regions.
He also added that the representatives of the European side have an understanding of the situation. "Everyone agrees with the view that, by and large, those who wanted to stay in the EU, they have already stayed, and they had visas, traveled to EU countries absolutely legitimately," Vice Prime Minister emphasized.
"That is, Ukraine continues to insist on visa-free regime," he concluded.
