President Viktor Yanukovych invites Brazilian businessmen to join the work of the Council of Domestic and Foreign Investors under the President of Ukraine, he said during a meeting with Brazilian businessmen. He said that the institution has been created to facilitate direct dialogue between the government and business.
The Council is an additional means to increase the investment potential and attractiveness of Ukraine, the President said, ForUm learned in the presidential press office.
"The Council comprises of top-managers of the largest Ukrainian companies and leading foreign investors. We would be extremely pleased, if representatives of big Brazilian businesses found it interesting to work within this mechanism of interaction between the government and business, that is, became members of the Council," Viktor Yanukovych said.
The President stressed that the Council aims to promote the attracting and effective use of domestic and foreign investments, and protect constitutional rights to private property and doing business.
"The government of our country is open to dialogue with representatives of business and is interested in creating a favorable environment for business making in Ukraine. I have high expectations that the interest of Brazilian businesses in Ukraine will continue to grow significantly," he said, adding that Ukraine is currently carrying out comprehensive reforms confidently.
