
"I've never used my position to press on Ukrainian law enforcement agencies or courts. I wish Tymoshenko to prove her innocence," Yanukovych said in an interview with Euronews, ForUm learned in the press office of the President.
"But if she made a mistake, due to which the whole country suffers, she must say the truth. If she did not pay taxes, she must admit it and pay them. It would look natural," Yanukovych added.
The President also noted no quick conclusions should be made in Tymoshenko case. "Conclusions can be made after a final decision of the court. Besides, it is not possible to ignore related cases in other countries - Lazarenko case in the US and General Oleinik case in Russia," Yanukovych said.
At the end Yanukovych noted once again he had never used his position to press on law enforcement agencies or courts.
