Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has approved amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and the law on export duties on certain types of grain crops, the presidential press service has reported.

As a reminder, October 7 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed as a whole the draft law on export customs duties for certain kinds of crops.

In particular, the adopted law provides for cancellation of export duties for wheat and corn, and set 14% export duty, but not less than 23 euro per ton for barley till January 1, 2012.

Party of Regions MP Vitaly Khomutynnik declares that the decision of the parliament is based on the fall of the world prices for crops, which affects domestic purchasing price for this product.
