The Party of Regions faction still is not ready to agree with opposition on decriminalization of the Criminal Code under which former Ukrainian Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko was charged, the faction leader Oleksandr Yefremov said in a comment to ForUm.
"As for the attempts to force us to vote for liquidation of article 365 of the Criminal Code which will release state officials, who manage the state budget at their own convenience, from responsibility, we do not consider it possible. And there are two reasons for that. First, we do not change law just for one person, and second, we doubt our electorate will appreciate the fact that we lift responsibility for abuse of budget," he noted.
Yefremov also doubted his faction ever changes position on this issue.
