President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is not interested in the trial on former PM Yulia Tymoshenko, he said in an interview with Greek newspaper ' Ethnos tis Kyriakis', responding the question on the West reaction to court hearings in Ukraine.

"Your question lies within law sphere. The law enforcement bodies got an order to investigate this case on decision of the National Security and Defense Council in February 2009, when I was in opposition. I was not the President then," Yanukovych said, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.

"I don't care about the trial. I am more concerned about improving relations with Russia and settling the gas issue," he added.
