At the Second International Black Sea Economic Forum, being held in Crimea, the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk has proposed to establish within the Black Sea countries the Monitoring Center for permanent monitoring and analyzing of the dynamic changes of output and consumption balance of agricultural products.

"In this way we can create a management system of food reserves, which could become further the effective regulator of the food markets and actively counteract development of the crisis phenomena in agrarian sphere," the Minister stressed.

The minister also pointed out the agrarian potential of Ukraine, which enables Ukraine to fully supply its citizens with own agricultural products

According to the Head of Agriculture Ministry, Ukraine has reached the level of top exporter in the world on sunflower-seed oil. Also, the country is actively moving towards self-sufficiency regarding meat production. For 8 months of 2011 the growth of gross output of agricultural industry constitutes 10.5 %.
