Energy Minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko declares that Naftogaz will not withdraw the civil suit against former PM Yulia Tymoshenko. The minister stated this during the government question Hour in the parliament, commenting on the request of a BYuT faction deputy to withdraw the suit, ForUm correspondent reports.
"When two directors of Naftogaz, who earlier refused to sign the contract with Gazprom, learned from Tymoshenko about the government's decree, they had no choice by to sign documents. However, Cabinet's derivatives were forged. And in this connection a criminal case has been instituted against Tymoshenko," Boiko explained.
According to Boiko, the contract with Gazprom caused huge losses to "Ukrhgastrans." "One month before the contract signing the gas price was 180 USD per thousand cu m, and in a month it jumped up to 360 USD. That's why we cannot withdraw the civil suit," the Minister summed up.
