The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has ordered that Lukoil Ukraine, Okko-naftoprodukt, Zolotiy Ekvator (WOG brand) and Alliance Holding (Shell brand) reduce the retail prices of petrol, diesel and liquefied gas, the AMCU said in a statement, UKRINFORM reported.

The Committee obliged the operators to set prices at a level that would exist under conditions of considerable competition on the market.

According to the AMCU, in September the filling stations operating under the brands of Lukoil, OKKO, WOG increased the price of petrol A-95 by 10-19 kopecks/liter making UAH 10.49-10.60/liter (USD 1 - UAH 7.97).

At the same time, as the Committee notes, in the world market crude oil prices, indicators of Platts and the euro tended to decrease, while the dollar rate against the hryvnia remained stable.

According to the AMCU, under these conditions, the price of petrol in the last decade of September should not have exceeded UAH 10.14-10.25/liter.

The report said that as of October 4, some of the listed companies reduced prices for petrol and LPG, but not to an appropriate level, and the cost of diesel fuel remained unchanged.

Moreover, prices for all types of fuel of these companies are 10-20 kopecks higher than that of the operators with small market shares.
