The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine considers a variant for fulfillment of the International Monetary Fund requirements for getting credit resources, which may exclude rising of gas tariffs for households and communal heat-generating enterprises, Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister Serhiy Tihipko told a briefing.

"Still, the government is fixed on the second position. We do not want to raise tariffs, we want to cut the gas price and to actually achieve the same effect by this decision," he said, UKRINFORM reported.

According to Tihipko, this is the government's position. "Negotiations are aimed just at this," he said.

At the same time, the Vice Premier noted that still the IMF position on gas tariffs is rather tough. The official also informed that at the end of October the IMF Mission will come to Ukraine.
