A fence around the parliament was built four day ago to prevent any storming of the building, as it happened September 20 during the protest action of Afghan soldiers and Chernobyl liquidators.

The fence is build from the side of Mariinski Palace. The two-meter high fence is locked with a huge lock.

Chairman of the parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn says he does not know who keeps building fences around the Verkhovna Rada, assuring the parliament has nothing to do with this construction. Lytvyn also promised journalists to find out who is behind the fence construction.
