Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has supported a decision to hold debates on the situation in Ukraine, BYuT faction MP Serhiy Sobolev informed by phone.
"Absolute majority of PACE MPs has support an initiative to hold urgent debates on Ukraine regarding the situation on political prisoners, in particular the opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko," he informed.
"This issue will be considered after a report of the Monitoring committee on situation in Ukraine," Sobolev added.
As a reminder, at the beginning of the session PACE refused to include into agenda the debates on Ukraine.
