He reminded that this is envisaged by the country's obligations taken in joining the European Energy Community in February 2011.
The Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate General for Energy, Fabrizio Barbaso said the EU will assess the reforms of Naftogaz.
He said they welcome the restructuring of Naftogaz as an important component of reforms in Ukraine's joining the Energy Community.
According to Barbaso, it is important that the restructuring would be in line with Ukraine's commitments and ensure compliance with the contractual obligations of Naftogaz.
