In the course of investigation of the conflict between two drivers in Ivano-Fransivsk region, which ended with gun shooting, police detained two suspects, one of whom happened to be a son of a member of the parliament from the Party of Regions.
"Taking into account public reaction in the region, a decision was made to detain the suspects. Later, on the decision of Ivano-Frankivsk court, they were arrested," Interior Minister Anatoly Mohyliov said, ForUm learned in the press office of the ministry. "A criminal case has been instituted against the offenders."
According to the minister, the offenders used gas and traumatic guns. "I believe that the most horrible thing is that a person due to his social or financial status believes he has a right to commit unlawful actions. Punishment for such people must be more severe than for 'ordinary' citizen," Mohyliov underlined.
On September 18, in one of the Kalush (Ivano-Frankivsk region) street two drives were arguing about violation of traffic rules, when the third car arrived. Two individuals came out from the car and started shooting. One of the above mentioned drivers was delivered in a hospital with a gun shot wound.
