During the latest round of negotiations Ukraine and the European Commission made a decision to increase grain export quotas from 20 thousand to 2 million tons during the completion of the free trade zone agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

"I am very happy that during the latest round of negotiations the European Commission proposed a compromise on grain export position," Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during his meeting with Spanish senators, ForUm learned from the governmental press office.

He reminded that earlier the EC proposed to conclude an agreement on free trade zone proceeding from grain export quotas of 20 thousand tons. At the same time the head of the government underlined that the export potential of Ukraine of this year, for example, is about 20 million tons.
