MP of Ukraine from the Party of Regions Oleksiy Plotnikov said that the visit of President Viktor Yanukovych to Russia can be considered as a step toward solving problems, arisen before the countries in the gas sphere, ForUm learned from the press office of the Party of Regions.
"The visit of the President to Russia can be regarded as positive, as the beginning of normalization of relations with Russia, as a situation when the parties agreed to mutual understanding and to avoid the state of public accusations and public conflicts," MP said Monday commenting on the results of yesterday's presidential visit to Russia.
However, he expressed the opinion that it is possible to speak about the progress in talks: "There is a definite progress in the subject of negotiations on gas pricing." At the same time, Oleksiy Plotnikov said that the talks between Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko and Chairman of OAO "Gazprom" Board Alexey Miller are not completed yet, all questions will be developed professionally, and the result will be announced later.
