Prime Minister Mykola Azarov started the meeting of the Cabinet with criticism of the State agency on energy saving for its ineffective work, ForUm's correspondent reports.

Azarov told the ministers about his yesterday's visits to an enterprise on production of energy saving stoves and a school, equipped with energy saving technologies of heating and lighting.

The PM pointed out that the enterprise "Todak" got big orders from South Korea, Azerbaijan and now is holding negotiations with Germany, while Ukraine ignores domestic producer. "It means that we don't care about energy saving and ignore domestic capacities," Azarov said.

The Premier called all ministries and regional administrations to take more active part in energy saving. "I demand, first of all, to buy energy saving equipment of Ukrainian production wherever possible," he said.

Azarov also told the ministers that he asked the head of the Todak enterprise whether he addressed the State agency on energy saving with his projects. Having learned that the State agency had not reacted in any constructive manner, the Prime Minister asked the officials of the agency what was the point of their activities and very existence.

Summing up the issue Mykola Azarov charged the ministries and regional administrations on working out a five-year plan on reequipping communal facilities with modern energy saving technologies.
