It is fundamentally important for Ukraine to secure the prospect of EU membership in the Association Agreement, said Prime Minister Mykola Azarov on Tuesday in Kyiv.
"There should be this mentioning in the Association Agreement. It is fundamentally important for us and we are working on it," said the Head of Government.
He noted that in Yalta he met with EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle and discussed this issue. "We met with Mr. Füle and discussed also this moment among other things. But I haven’t heard any objections from him on this occasion," said Mykola Azarov, according to "Interfax-Ukraine".
