MP of Ukraine, member of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction, Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Ivan Popescu believes that having adopted the law on telecommunications concerning services provision of the State Customs Service, our country will be able to present itself in an appropriate manner in this field on international and domestic market.
"Today on the initiative of the Party of Regions was adopted as the basis and in whole the Law of Ukraine "On Telecommunications" concerning services provision of the State Customs Service. This will facilitate our international cooperation in telecommunications," he said, Party of Regions press office reported.
Ivan Popescu also noted that it is very important for customs because they, as the state border institutions, form the first impression of our country.
"Therefore modernization by providing services of the State Customs Service with modern means of telecommunications will contribute their efficiency and strengthen the positive image of Ukraine as a European state, which is extremely important on the eve of Euro-2012," MP explained.
"On the other hand, it will level Ukraine in this field with the European Union and help us to compete with the EU at least in this direction after signing of the Association Agreement on Free Trade Area," the parliamentarian said.
