Oleksandr Yefremov, leader of the Party of Regions faction promised that the parliament would not adopt the law on benefits this week, as he said after difficult negotiation with Afghan soldiers and Chernobyl liquidators, who are holding a protest action near the parliament.

"Some people respected what was said, some did not. I came out with the truth whether someone like it or not," the PR faction leader stated, ForUm's correspondent reported.

In response to the questions how he feels after such complicated negotiations, what he plans to do further and whether he was afraid  to come out to the vengeful crowd, Yefremov said: "I talked to the leaders of the protesters and we agreed that the parliament would work on the law on benefits. we are going to fulfill our promises. I have an experience of working with a crowd, and I had more serious situations that this one."
