The Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry stands for removal of export duty for grain cultures, Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.

"I want that export duty is removed. My task as Minister, the main task is not to slow down grain export, because grain is an export product, a full-fledged product and we should understand that this commodity is in demand and this is a perspective for our country. It was 100-120 years back and it exists now," Prysiazhniuk said, UKRINFORM reported.

According to him, the fact that Ukraine now has possibility of exporting 24-25 million tons of grain is very positive, but it should be remembered that by limiting export "we can slow down the volumes of grain production and reduce investments."

According to Prysiazhniuk, presently an instruction of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is in effect to hold a meeting with grain traders so that 25 million tons of grain will be sent for export.
