Ukraine has to organize the European Championship in 2012 to the highest level, President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych said this during his official visit to Turkmenistan.
According to him, this project is very important for the international image of the state. "Ukraine is obliged to hold the championship at the highest as this is the face of the country. This year we have allocated about 35 billion UAH for tournament preparations", said Viktor Yanukovych.
By the end of 2011 Ukraine will finalize all key facilities of the championship. Two stadiums will be opened in October, the Olympic NSC in Kyiv and the Lviv stadium and at the end of the year - three new airport terminals in the capital of Ukraine, Lviv and Donetsk.
