The majority of Ukrainians do not trust President Viktor Yanukovych and his reforms, the results of a public opinion poll show. The poll was conducted by the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) from 16 to 30 July 2011, UKRINFORM reported.

Yanukovych does not enjoy trust among 65% of the respondents, and enjoys among 29%.

Presenting the results of the survey, principal investigator of the Foundation, Rakesh Sharma said that, compared with 2010, the rating of confidence in Yanukovych fell from 43% to 29%.

The majority of the Ukrainians (62%) believe that Ukraine is moving toward instability, and only 12% noticed movement toward stability.

87% of the respondents are not satisfied with the economic situation in Ukraine, 70% with political situation, and 46% with foreign policy.

85% of the respondents are not satisfied with the pension reform, 52% with the introduction of the Tax Code and constitutional reform.

76% of the respondents are dissatisfied with how the President organizes fight against corruption among officials; 66% believe that he can not cope with limiting the influence of big businesses on government agencies. 58% of the Ukrainians criticize how the President maintains the country's political stability.

The survey was conducted in all the administrative and territorial units of Ukraine among 1,515 respondents aged 18 years and more.
