Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said in an interview with Le Figaro that European criticism of the trial against Yulia Tymoshenko is groundless.

"In 2009 Tymoshenko tête-à-tête with Russian premier Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on gas price for Ukraine, which affects economic interests of the country. She forged the documents for this, as the agreement was not approved either by Cabinet or Naftogaz," Azarov underlined.

He assured that "on the political plane Tymoshenko is no longer a rival, but a woman of the past."
