The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed the law "On Amendments to the Family Code of Ukraine" (regarding adoption).
The law excludes the provision from the effective law, whereby the difference in age between the adopter and the adopted child can not exceed forty five years.
The law was supported by 256 MPs out of 332 registered in the parliament's session hall.
