"Developing relations with the United States is one of the priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy, and we are interested in further cooperation with the U.S. in the form of strategic partnership" Viktor Yanukovych said at the meeting, expressing his firm belief that the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Charter should remain a priority of the bilateral agenda.
The President noted that Ukraine looks forward to United States’ further support of the European integration course of our country. "The question of the United States supporting the establishment of Ukraine as a European democratic state and our partnership on the road towards European integration is very important for Ukraine," he said. Viktor Yanukovych also noted Ukraine attaches great importance to its partnership with NATO.
