Mykhailo Livinsky, who served as Yulia Tymoshenko’s chief of staff while she was prime minister, doesn’t rule out that the directives to Naftohaz chairman Oleh Dubyna to conduct talks between Naftohaz and Gazprom were prepared by representatives of Naftohaz.

“I think that this document was prepared either in the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, or, more likely by representatives of Naftohaz,” Mykhailo Livinsky said today while testifying in court.

Mykhailo Livinsky said that the directives could have been prepared by Naftohaz because they relate to the oil and gas industry. “I didn’t prepare this document and didn’t receive instructions to prepare it. I think this document was prepared outside,” he said.

According to the former prime minister’s chief of staff, the directives to conduct talks between Naftohaz and Gazprom weren’t prepared in accordance with the document rules of the Cabinet of Ministers. “It was prepared by people who do not know the rules of Cabinet documents. Even the font is different,” said Mykhailo Livinsky.
