Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a decree approving the provision on the National Anti-Corruption Committee. The text of the document has been posted on the official website of the head of state.
Under the decree, the main task of the committee is to conduct a thorough analysis of the state of combating corruption in Ukraine, the effectiveness of the implementation of an anti-corruption strategy, and measures being taken to prevent and combat corruption.
The provision also foresees the drafting by the committee, taking into account domestic and international experience and recommendations from the world's leading organizations, of legislative acts on the issues of strengthening the fight against corruption.
The Ukrainian president is the chairman of the committee.
