Ukraine's European perspective primarily depends on economic development of the country, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during his visit to the Second International Ethnic Festival "Harvest 2011" at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Everyday Life in the village of Pyrohovo on Saturday, UKRINFORM reported.

"We lay down very serious basis for the European future of Ukraine, and it primarily consists in economic development. When country becomes rich and all-sufficient, we will come to Europe very simply and quickly," the Premier noted.

Mykola Azarov added that this year, a growth of gross domestic product is expected at 8-10%. "If next year is so successful as this, and I am sure that this year will be successful for us, we will rise by 7-8 percent, possibly by 10. The government will do absolutely everything for this," he assured.
