The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that the farming industry is undergoing qualitative changes which will determine the face of the village for decades ahead, and will overcome the gap between the quality of life in a village and a town.

"These changes happened with the support of State and private initiative," Azarov said at the session of the government.

The PM pointed out some regions with new technologies in agricultural enterprises, including Poltava with its  samples of the cultivation of grain and reproduction of high- dairy herd, and Vinnitsa with its sugar factory that uses its own biofuels to reduce consumption of unacceptably expensive Russian gas.

Azarov has also charged the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine with developing a program for every settlement.

"Every village and town in Ukraine must have a perspective - Mykola Azarov said. - And people need to know about it, they should allow themselves to plan the development of the city."

According to the Head of Government development projects need to be discussed at meetings of local communities, "to get the approval of development path."
