In 2011-2012, considerable part of Ukraine will be covered with a chain of agricultural wholesale markets, Prime Minister Azarov said during a working visit to the wholesale market of agricultural products Stolychny.
"In 2011-2012, a considerable part of the country will be covered with a chain of wholesale markets and vegetable storage facilities. In other words, it is possible to say that this is not a program for 10 years, but for the nearest two to three years. It is clear that we are at the very beginning of our way - the way for creation of wholesale markets of agricultural products," the Head of government said.
He noted that in the future, the government puts a task to raise the cattle breeding sector and to provide people with those products at producers' prices.
He also put tasks to organize internet trading on the Stolychny market, in the nearest time - to organize a system of access ways to this market.
The first stage of the agricultural wholesale market Stolychny was put into exploitation on July 15, the market is working seven days a week. Modern control over quality of vegetables and fruits is organized on the market, as well as high-tech storage and effective logistics.
