President Viktor Yanukovych and Minister of Justice Oleksandr
Lavrynovych have met in Crimea to discuss the second stage of
administrative reform.
"We have summed up the first stage and
defined a schedule for the working group on the second stage," Minister
Lavrynovych said after the meeting.
He said the first stage of
administrative reform is almost complete now. "The next stage will be
reorganizing local authorities," the Minister of Justice said.
According to Oleksandr Lavrynovych, the elaboration of proposals for
the second phase of the reform will be complete in the fall. "2012 will
be devoted to analyzing how the reorganized or newly created executive
agencies would be functioning," he said.
Minister Lavrynovych
noted that the system of these authorities and their staff quantity
would be revised for them to perform their functions and providing
citizens with the necessary services more effectively. After this stage,
he said, the President will be submitted a report on the distribution
functions of territorial authorities.
