During preparation to the European Football Championship 2012 substantial changes took place in Ukraine, Tournament Director Martin Kallen has said in an interview to the Information Center Ukraine 2012, UKRINFORM reported.

He said that there are many changes. "Take a look at roads that change fundamentally," he said, in particular in host cities. According to him, appearance of new airports mobilizes every city. If to visit other Ukrainian cities, there is substantial difference in favor of host cities, he says. The Director believes that those changes concern both ordinary people and professional sport. When the country gets experience in organization of such large competitions, it is a great achievement, Martin Kallen said.

Kallen has underscored that it is possible to speak that EURO 2012 actually made much, what would not happen by itself over four years. According to him, if it were not for EURO 2012, over four years, Ukraine would hardly have those changes - new highways, up-to-date airports, renewed roads and world-level stadiums.
