The government counts on the participation of national and foreign
businesses in carrying out reforms in Ukraine, President Viktor
Yanukovych said at a meeting of the Domestic and Foreign Investors
Council.
The President stressed that hearing the opinion of business on the country’s development is very important for him. "Feeling that there is a barometer, which in the state is business, that tells whether the wind is blowing in the right direction is very important for me," he said.
The President also called on business to be socially responsible. "Most of you bear social responsibility in the state. Beside the fact that you are employers, I know that most of your companies participate in various social projects. And it is very important," he said.
Viktor Yanukovych thanked the businessmen investing into the social development of Ukraine. "I thank you for participating in these programs and also invite you to expand such opportunities, that is – to invest in the future," he said.
In this context, the President stressed the importance of public-private partnership. "I would like to tell you for the future: this cooperation will be improving and deepening," Viktor Yanukovych said.
