President Viktor Yanukovych believes it is necessary to transfer the accounts of public enterprises to the State Treasury. According to the President, it will effectively reform the system of administrative services provision by public authorities and local governments, he said at today’s meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms.

"I have cited many examples, including that of the road traffic police regarding the various services offered there, and have drawn the attention of the Ministry of Interior Affairs. Most of these issues we will adjust by adopting new laws. But now, it is necessary to establish order and oblige all public companies to transfer their accounts to the State Treasury," he said.

Viktor Yanukovych said resistance of the existing corrupt system last for half a year already. "But I am convinced that easy times are over for them," he said.

Addressing Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka, President Yanukovych stressed he must in cooperation with the Cabinet of Ministers conduct a thorough audit of the services provided by public enterprises to citizens.

The Prosecutor General's Office must determine, who does stimulate this system, and who is the source of resistance, Viktor Yanukovych said.
