Dear journalists!
June 6 is Journalists’ Day in Ukraine - the professional holiday of workers of the mass media.
Allow me to congratulate the employees of newspapers and magazines, TV channels and radio stations, online publications.
On this day one traditionally wishes you interesting interviews, sensational investigations, outstanding reports and good photos.
To this I would like to add one more thing: that the day of journalism not turn into night.
Neither the courts that issue judgments above the Constitution, nor security guards that interfere in your work, or politicians that believe journalists can be bought easily can and should interfere in the work of the media.
Honesty, impartiality, objectivity – these basic principles of journalism are increasingly coming under threat in modern Ukraine.
I wish you strength and courage to defend the right to your profession.
And, of course – good luck in what you do!
