The first international festival of
contemporary sculpture will be held in Kyiv. The project, which is
scheduled for next summer, is timed to the 2012 UEFA European Football
Championship.
The festival will take place at the new botanical garden. It is to exhibit the works of both Ukrainian and foreign artists. A partner of the festival is Yorkshire Sculpture Park (Great Britain). Its curator Helen Pheby spent in Kyiv four days, during which she managed not only to discuss with the organizers all the details, but also to visit the location.
Contemporary sculpture contests are staged all over the world. Germany's Munster is considered to be one of the most famous sculpture forums.
