President Viktor Yanukovych believes the government should make every
effort to adjust the tariff policy in the field of housing and communal
services, he said during a meeting of the Preparation and Celebration of
Ukraine’s Independence 20th Anniversary Coordinative Council.
"We need to make significant steps for people at least to have hope that we will settle this issue," he said, referring to the Government meeting on housing scheduled for June 1.
"The tariff policy will be all-national – not of backwoods, where the question is approached as one can or likes, but really statehood. And the government will make significant steps here," Viktor Yanukovych said, presidential press office reported.
The President has once again urged the authorities to approach the issue with understanding and responsibility.
