The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has accepted a lawsuit filed by
Yulia Tymoshenko against the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) for
illegally opening a criminal case against her over gas contracts from
2009.
The first hearing was held today and presided over by Judge Halyna Suprun. Serhiy Vlasenko is representing Yulia Tymoshenko. Today the Prosecutor General’s Office granted permission for him to participate in the case.
At the request of the plaintiff’s counsel, the trial was adjourned until noon, May 11 to provide time to study the PGO materials that were the basis for the criminal case against Yulia Tymoshenko.
