The Government is developing a five-year program to improve social protection of needy citizens of Ukraine, the Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this at the Cabinet of Ministers session.
“This will be the first for years of independence a kind of “social road map” for the medium-term. It will help us efficiently plan budget expenditures and not to give unrealizable promises which people are already tired of. This program will also give people real landmarks of state support in the coming years,” Azarov said, according to the Cabinet's press office.
The Prime Minister ordered the Finance Ministry with the Ministry of Social Policy to agree a plan of action to improve social standards and consider it in the budget for 2011-2015.
