President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has met with Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk. At the meeting they have discussed land reform in Ukraine. 

"There are certain key priorities of completing the land reform in Ukraine, which the President has underscored. The first is to ensure that Ukrainian farmers are not bereft of their land. The second is to do everything to preserve and motivate development of Ukrainian villages. And, of course, completing the land reform, to introduce circulation of agricultural land, which will increase the economic potential of our agricultural sector," Mykola Prysiazhniuk said. 

The President has also expressed confidence that certain amount of land should be left in the state land fund to provide for food security. 

Another important subject of the meeting has been preparation of the agricultural sector of Ukraine for spring field works. "The President drew attention to the need to conduct field works at a high level, given the need to ensure food security of the state, and our country's grain exports potential," the Minister said.
