In preparation for the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission chaired by the Presidents of Ukraine and Russia, Secretary of the Ukrainian part of the Commission Serhiy Lyovochkin has conducted a meeting on the current state of Ukrainian-Russian relations and the main tasks of bilateral cooperation for 2011.
On behalf of the President of Ukraine, a comprehensive analysis of the bilateral cooperation in political, economic, scientific and humanitarian spheres has been done and priorities for the current year have been outlined.
Special attention has been dedicated to creating favorable conditions for the crossing of the Ukrainian-Russian state border by citizens of both countries.
Serhiy Lyovochkin has stressed the need for systematic and effective work to make proper preparations for the next meeting of the Commission.
