Following the adoption of the new Tax Code, the
number of those wishing to register as physical persons - subjects of
entrepreneurial activity declined by 50-60%. This was reported by a
senior lawyer of MTS-Consulting, Oleksandr Minin.
The number of applicants for
registration of their businesses has also decreased in recent time.
"This drop, of course, is not as noticeable as it is among individuals,
but also significant," Minin said. The expert attributed the situation
to the fact that a newly established legal entity cannot become a VAT
payer before gaining 2,330 thousand UAH (1 USD - 7.94 UAH).
"So many of our clients, hearing the news, postpone the decision to register a company," the lawyer said. But the number of those who decided to liquidate their businesses or their entrepreneurial status has increased over the past month. A company that helps liquidate businesses says the flow of its customers has grown by 20%.
