Speaking at the opening of the eighth session of the parliament, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn complimented president Viktor Yanukovych for conducting reforms and called those who do not support these change not to interfere with the government's work.
According to him, the Administration of the president is a "center of reformation".
In Lytvyn's opinion, the parliament should first of all "welcome and support these reforms." "Those who do not agree, should at least not interfere," he added.
The speaker believes every MP is obliged to raise the level of his professional, political and intellectual responsibility, abandoning ambitions.
The parliamentary majority welcomed his speech with applauses, while the opposition commented on overpraising the president.
