"I think we’ll soon hear criticism from FATF following their analysis of the fact that three integral anti-corruption laws adopted by our government and scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2010 were repealed," Yulia Tymoshenko said today before going to the prosecutor’s office.
The former prime minister believes these laws would have curbed corruption among civil servants in Ukraine. "These laws would have introduced accountability and oversight. Unfortunately, these laws were declared null and void and this is the reality of life today," she added.
