Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has said that investigators from the Prosecutor General’s Office have accused her of supporting representatives of her political team who are in custody and have prohibited her from attending their court hearings.

"I thought I came to start reading the case materials, but everything began quite differently. The head of the department for priority cases came in and started asking me why I went to Lutsenko’s hearing," Yulia Tymoshenko said yesterday after going to the prosecutor’s office. "I was asked why I was putting pressure on the Kyiv Court of Appeals and speaking disrespectfully about the Prosecutor General’s Office, and was warned that if I continue behaving this way they have the right to take me away to the prosecutor’s office if I am somewhere defending my colleagues."

Yulia Tymoshenko said she told investigators that she will not stop defending herself and her political allies.

I think they’re nervous when I attend court hearings in order to support people who are my colleagues in our joint political battle. They’re annoyed that when I am there judges have a hard time issuing predetermined unjust rulings that the Presidential Administration is demanding they issue," she added.
