President Viktor Yanukovych had a phone conversation with FIFA President Joseph Blatter.
The sides have discussed Ukraine's preparation for hosting Euro-2012 finals.
"Ukraine has made substantial progress and caught on the approved schedule," Joseph Blatter said.
The parties have also touched on the confrontation inside the Football Federation of Ukraine and the information in the media about the interference of government officials in the work of this organization.
President Yanukovych made a comment on the situation saying: "I am not aware of the facts of interference in the affairs of the Football Federation of Ukraine either by state authorities, or officials, but if I learn this is true, I will do my best to stop it".
