Society should use the internet in forming multidimensional public opinion and building constructive dialogue with the government, says Yulia Tymoshenko.

"We need to take greater advantage of the opportunities the internet offers. We need to use our collective intelligence to create rules for our society. Today we’re seeing the start of this in Ukraine. Soon the internet will become the main source of information and medium for communication," Yulia Tymoshenko said today while presenting the Ukraine of the Third Millennium Project.

"Based on data we have, 30% of people get their information from the internet. I believe this figure will grow exponentially."

She also said that effective online communication requires intelligence, logic and transparency, citing the example of her personal website. "I have much experience working with my personal site and can tell you that if it weren’t for our strong security system, we would have had to close the site because of the malicious attacks on it."
