Due to lack of funds the Democratic Initiatives Foundation (DIF) is bound to cancel the previously planned national exit-poll at the local elections on October 31 in Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk, UKRINFORM reported.
As reported by DIF research manager Iryna Bekeshkina, DIF's traditional partners on conducting exit polls - the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Razumkov Center - had submitted applications to several international organizations, in particular, the International Renaissance Foundation, on funding for this project. However, none of them expressed readiness to finance the exit poll.
According Bekeshkina, this decision confirms once again that the international community loses interest in Ukraine.
