The Cabinet has stabilized the price situation on the food market of the country, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told during a working visit to Mykolayiv (Ukraine's south), UKRINFORM reported.
"We will not allow deficit by a single position... We are not the government we have been in March. The government has its resources and means to purchase everything that we need," Azarov noted.
"A task for development of the agroindustrial complex is task No. 1 for the country, and we will do everything that is necessary for this," he said adding, in particular, that a program of the agroindustrial complex support provides for an increase of the cattle stock.
Also, the government intends to set up a network of wholesale food markets, to provide for the necessary food stocks in order to ease a negative impact of the world prices conjuncture for foodstuffs in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister informed that presently there are 1.600 million tons of grain crops at the Agrarian Fund.
